    2004 GTO electrical problems

Hi, i have been "stalking" for a while and recently joined due to a issue that I need help with - I have a 2004 GTO and a electrical problem has surfaced that I cannot figure out - the radio will not turn off (including the CD player) and the wipers will not turn on. I have read several blogs that say several different things - I have replaced the ignition switch and it did not help - if the battery is disconnected it seems to reset itself for a short time then reverts back to the above mentioned issue.Half of the blogs say it's the BCM and the other half say that it's not - any help or ideas where to go from here will be greatly appreciated!!!!

I have a 2004 GTO and you may need to go to the dealer for a software upgrade. Are you having any issues with your gauges ?

Remove your glovebox and check your wiring. I had an issue with my signals a few weeks after buying mine. Did some reading online and found that the wiring for the BCM rubs on the metal brackets holding the dash to the body. Check those wires for cut insulation or any other damage. Cover any exposed wiring with electrical tape and insulate the metal bracket with some plastic loom or rubber hose. Keep us posted.
