    2002 camaro mod Qs

thank you very much for a great site! i have few Qs about somethings i have/and plan on doing to my 02 ss camaro. i have a 588 lift cam with cnc ported heads by tex speed. slp underdrive crank pulley..i have bought a racetronix pump and a ls2 take off intake with the 34lb injectors, along with a 92mm throttle body. my Qs are do i need to put a ajustable FPR at the feed line going to the rail? if so, how does that affect the intank FPR? when i install the racetronix pump would i disable the internal FPR? is that possible? BE EASY ON ME GUYS! im old school here, i have never had a injected car! but i can make a carb run !LOL this is a bit of a learning curve for me and im hoping to pick a few young minds out there! let me know your thoughts thanks again. if any one needs more info please contact me ! by all means!

Sorry I need to ask for some clarification on the following:

Can you post the duration of the cam and what type of ported heads?

What do you mean LS2 take off intake?

I assume FPR means fuel pump regulator, correct?

I take it you have a LS1 and you're wanting to do some mods, correct?

Not sure on the regulator but I'm pretty sure you'd need a tune to tell the computer it's using 34lb injectors over the 26/28 lb stockers or whatever they are and adjust the fuel trims accordingly.

Since you have an 02, I'd stick with the factory LS6 intake that came on it (if it's still there).
In instances I've seen if both intakes are stock and unported, the LS6 intake is a better piece than the LS2, even though the LS2 uses a larger throttle body it lacks the high rpm HP that the LS6 makes, even with it's smaller throttle body.

Usually a ported stock throttle body is all that most of your bolt on LS1's need/use. If you want to go beyond that and have coin to spend, the favorite choice is a FAST intake setup.

Or he could send them to TPIS and have them cut the snout off the ls2 and put it on the ls6 to have a 90mm ls6.
