    2001 Firehawk caliper plate

    I recently had a caliper come loose while driving and after taking things apart I see that one of the large bolts ended up stripping out of the caliper mounting plate on the right rear of the car. (not the caliper mount with the slide pins, but the assembly behind that with the e brake on it.) I ordered one from O'Reilly and they gave me the left one, rather than the right one, which is the side I need. Does anybody know where I could find the correct caliper mounting plate, with a R stamped on it?

    The shop that will be dealing with it for me, will only use parts from O'Reilly, but I might be able to talk them into putting one one from someone else, as long is it is new and not used.

    Any help with part numbers or links would be much appreciated, so that I can get my car back on the road safely.

    RockAuto has them. But I would look at a local salvage yard before ordering a new one.

    Any 98-02 V6 or V8 Camaro or Firebird will work.

    I'm not seeing it on Rock Auto at all.

    Rockauto only lists the left side.

    From the parts layout catalog;
    right rear backing plate GM 12454983 for ABS non TC-plate only
    right rear backing plate assembly GM 10434795 for TC- complete assembly. No listing for TC plate only.

    Have you tried Hawks3rdgen or a salvage yard?

    I ended up getting a pair used off Ebay, but they don't have the sensor hole in them. I'll most likely drill it out and put the sensor in it.
