2001 F-Body LS1 Intake question

I just purchased a LS1 from a 2001 WS6. I have a book on the LS1 and the book list the differences on the model years but when I asked the seller he thought the book was wrong. I live in PA and the engine is coming from texas and I am shipping it to florida to where my fabricator is going to be fittin it into my jap ride, so I wont be able to physically see it for a while. I know what the difference is, but I cant tell from the photo. The book say the 2001 LS1 has the LS6 intake, is that correct or was it only the 2001 C5 that had the LS6 intake.

The 2001 model has the LS6 intake, one of the easiest ways of telling is the elimination of the EGR valve located at the front of the intake. On the pre 2001 vehicle, there will be a hose going into the front of the intake.

Yepp Yepp they did away with the egr in 01. Like said above they did come with the ls6 intake.

Thanks alot guys makes it easier knowing what I have. I am gonna be ordereing a new Ported throttle body, ported MAF, and underdrive / Alt pulleys. But knowing I have the LS6 intake means I dont have to get one right away. I will eventually be upgrading to the FAST one
