2001 Camaro data link connector wire colors and positions?

I'd like to know the wire colors and positions in the data link connector on a 2001 Camaro. Thanks in advance.

    In my 98 service manual it shows the following-I'll assume it hasn't changed.Cavity 2-wire color PPL /-cavity 4-color BLK /-cavity 5-color BLK/WHT /cavity 9-TAN /cavity 16-ORN

    Thanks for your reply but...........

I'm almost certain that a '98 is different from an '01. I'd sure like someone who owns an "01 to look at their DLC and let me know what the colors and positions of the wires are.

Federal law mandates the connector work the same for all vehicles from 96 up-why do you need this info?I can also tell you what the function of the wires are also are whatever. edit---OK this is a demanding forum,I gotta go to the wall for you guys! My 02 has the exact same wiring and color code as described below-EXCEPT-there is no tan wire in 9 -which is used for ABS/traction control and PCM serial data line.I removed my connector and looked. Don't have any info as to why this was deleted in 02-I'm kinda shootin in the dark cause I don't understand what you are doing. After this much hassle an explanation would satisfy my now aroused curiousity.Last edit-In 98 they went to a Bosch ABS/traction control set-up-maybe that's why the tan wire is now deleted?

I'm installing a 2001 LS1 in my '88 BMW M3 and pretty much had to custom build the wiring harness. I got my DLC at a bone yard and used a Painless LS1 wiring harness as an example to help build the power distribution fuse block and relay set up. My wife's Gen III SUV's DLC has different colored and different positioned DLC wires than the Painless setup, I think, so I'm trying to pin down exactly what DLC wiring will be correct.

    Thanks for your help!

After three years of on and off effort I finally fired it up tonight. I built it to have 450hp at the flywheel. It runs really well.
