    Question 2000 WS.6, hella detonation at 3800 plus...

    Car is stock except drop in filter. 6 speed, ws6, 185000 mi, when I got it, if you got in it hard, it would stumble and belch, while flashing the ses, reported cyl 1 misfire, swapped plug wires with cyl 3, problem ceased.

    Now, I put it on the dyno, made the first pull, and at 3800 rpm, she started detonating so bad, they thought she might blow and got out of it...

    Was making 277rwhp when the pinging started...
    I know no history of the car, has had sea foam, and I have ran 3 tanks of shell/chevron 93 octane thru her so far

    I got ngk's and msd wires, I'm going to change them, and then scan it and see, what else could it be, and what should I be looking for on the scanner?

    Keep us posted once you change the plugs/wires. Most likely a break inside the wire. Could also have a cracked spark plug.

    Well, the factory plugs and wires were still in it, the gap had lazied out to nearly .080! Wires were shot also, over half came in to with very little effort... Did that, gapped to .052, lid, egr delete, air delete, tb coolant bypass, and added 2 degrees timing, she is running like a ws6 should now. Back to the dyno for new numbers, will post back in a few days.
