    2 quick questions

I was wondering, just how good are a set of Pacesetter longtube headers? Non-ceramic coat black painted ones that run about $230-$240 bucks.

Also, I wanted to know how much the stock rear can take before it needs to be replaced ?

pacesetter makes good headers. Living in NJ you don't want plain black ones, you want coated cause they WILL rust in a few years if not coated.

How well the rear will hold up is dependent on alot of things. On street tires, it will last longer than with DRs. In an automatic it will almost always handle tons more power than a 6-speed.

Hmm.. In that case, what would be the best ceramic coat headers for my $$$? Should I still go with Pacesetter or would another brand be better ?

IMO it's hard to beat coated pacesetters for the price. Are there better headers out there? Yep, but for the money I'd buy another set of pacesetters. I've got a couple of years on mine with zero complaints and they still look brand new.

I also agree with above i have had my pacesetters for a while now and so far so good. they look great and hold up well. The only issue i have had was the header bolts rusting but just dont used the supply'd bolts and you will be good. also keep in mind if you go ory then you will have too fix the y pipe so it doesnt abuse your floor board.
Stock rear ends in a 6spd can break under stock hp. Depending on what upgrades you plan on doing too the car keep in mind the rear end is the weak spot on these cars.

40,000 looks alot better!!! Unless you know how those 80,000 were driven!!!
You can get away with about 575-625hp on that rear as long as your not coming out the gate at 6000rpm.

haha i definitely wouldn't launch higher than 4000~4500.. the car with 80k is sold so the 40k is my only option now. I keep hearing different things about the rear though, my goal is like about 500rwhp. I think im going to have to upgrade the rear for that ?

You won't be launching higher than 2500 rpm with a stock set-up unless you plan on annihalating the tires. 4-5,000 an you will simply sit and spin, fun but not fast.
