1999 Camaro SS SLP is it true?

I'm looking to buy a car from a dealership that claims its a 99 SS SLP with only 6500 miles for $19k. The car is in immaculate condition and drives beautifully. I'm new to Camaros though and have noticed a ton of speculation regarding if they are true SS and in fact have SLP packages. The door sticker did show both the Y2Y code and the WU8 code but again, this is just a sticker

cal SLP and ask. They keep records of all Camaro & Trans Am's that have gone through them.

I called SLP and it is legit. Car #2524.

What do you guys think of the price on it? The carfax is clean, 1 owner. Just hard to believe that mileage!

Also just test drove a 2010 Camaro SS....39k miles for $23k. I'm torn!

Honestly, I'd snatch up the 99. But that's my opinion.

Just nervous about the mileage but the car looks new. My concern is the leather on the driver side seat looks a little too worn for such low mileage. Maybe sun damage thru the t top?

6500 on a 14 yr old car and you're worried about mileage?!?!

Not sure on the price though, seems a little high but I haven't shopped for a car in 4 yrs.

It comes down to what your willing to pay.

With out seeing the car in person or with some detailed pics it's hard to give an honest opinion.

I wouldn't get the current 5th gen, I'd wait for the 2014 model to come out. That's just my opinion, I hate the current versions tail lights. Looks FUGLY. The new 2014 changes it and the hood.
