17X11's on a lowered camaro

I just lowered my camaro with hotckis springs and want to get a set of ZR1's 17X11. How wide of a tire can I use without rubbing? Or should I stick with 17X9? Anybody have any tips or experience?

May or may not rub.
May or may not require fender rolling/hammering the inside of the wheel well.

Different maufacturers have different tread and sidewall widths - look on tire rack etc. for the comparison. For instance - BFG KDs have a wide tread and sidewall and will rub and stick out (no longer available), but the BFG drag radials generally do not rub.

I used 285 40s, they are a slightly taller sidewall but still within the range for traction control and they look and work fine.

mine is lowered with pro kit springs and i have sumitomos 315 out back, it hits the outside fender on the passenger side only and i think thats me not adjusting the panhard bar correctly even though it looks fairly even. Sumi's are not wide at all for 315 tires and i definitly had to hammer the inside wheel wells.
