    Question 12 Bolt?

What all would I need to change to do a 12 bolt rear in a 2000 z28? Suspension? Driveshaft???

a 12 bolt will bolt right in. I went with strange and it even came with fluid. I just bolted it back up. Now what makes sense to change while the rear is out is a different story. I swapped the torque arm, lower control arms, relocation brackets, panhard bar, end links, and fuel pump. Just made sense to do all that stuff while the rear was out of the car.

THANKS! I was actualy thinking about a strange rear end, i'm actually on their site right now... how much did that run you? and I'm doing a lowering kit so most of that will be swapped along with the rear end... didn't think about the fuel pump though... it makes sense....

I had to ask because a friend is doing a 9" rear and he's changing out a bunch of stuff...

I would have to look it up but I wanna say $2400 shipped. That was with the upgraded cover, backing plates, and what not.

2400 shipped sounds like a pretty good price. is it very noisy?

not really, it has some noise to it but most all aftermarket gears are gonna have some noise to them. It's not enough to bother you in the car.
