1.7 scorpion rocker arms float
i just installed 1.7 scorpion rocker on my 2000 trans am and they float the valves at 6000 rpms . should i tune my auto transmission to shift at 5700 rpms so i dont get a float or do i need to add springs? why is this happing? i took them off and went back to stock arms just to see and the float went away.so yes i did install them right.

rocker arms dont make your valves float. your stock springs cant handle the added ratio so they arent closing fast enough. upgrade your springs ole son and you should be bueno
