02 Z28 - Adding A18 style Ram Air hood - which cold air kit?

I have purchased the A18 style Ram Air hood for my 02 Z28.

Looking around, I'm not having anything jump out and say that it fits a ram air hood, or this specific one. Does anyone have any experience with it? I would like to do a Cold Air induction with this hood.

Any help or pointers would be great.

From what I searched, it's an Ultra-Z hood. Should be compatible with the SS airbox. You could always get the K&N FIPK that deletes the factory airbox altogether. I think GMHTP did a build like yours a few years back using the FIPK and they junked the factory airbox.

Thanks. I currently have a G2 airbox on there that I plan on setting aside when I put this new hood on. I just want to be sure that whatever kit I buy will fit without too much modification.

I like the idea of the "Volant Cool Air Intake w/ Box 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro - PT# 15958C " enclosing the filter "around" the hood so that it pulls the air from the hood as opposed to the K&N FIPK that has the potential of getting some warmer air from inside. Looking at the pictures, the K&N one is open to the rest of the compartment unlike the Volant one. Does that make sense?

Go with the Volant setup. I like that. There are a few members here using that if not the Trans Am piece.
