01 no cranking

01 camero v6 auto,lots of miles,she shut it off in the driveway and now it wont turn over. jumped starter relay [large purple and red wires] car cranks over fine. the security light is flashing,i tried to clean key but not very well. i`m trying to get hold of second key. i get batt voltage at green wire when i turn the key [starter relay wires] but the yellow/black isnt grounding. thank you

the by-passing the vats is a great help. the second key didnt work. i will ohm the keys and then check the vats wiring to see if the module is getting the signal. i`m trying to help the owner...i hate to stop working under the car cuz the owner comes over and asks if i need anything....shes always in a skirt....i`m such a pig
