    Nothing stellar on my part.
    Bilsteins
    Strano's
    3-point sfc's
    1le front sway bar
    lca's
maxed out my camber at roughly -1.3 to -1.5

My favorite and most noticeable was the sway bar.

I set my car up for backroad cruising since I have a A4 not a great autox car. I did BMR springs, KYB AGX strut, spohn sway bars, UMI strut bar, double adj. lca and panhard bar set. I still have to do the UMI subframe connectors and front control arms but the car handles great and I can adjust the struts for either hard runs through the twisties or softer for daily driving the few times I take it. The koni struts are better but way outta the price for what I need it for.

    Hello,
I do quite a bit of autcross. Autocross is much more dependent on the driver and drg racing is much more dependent on the car / equipment.

If you are just starting to autocross and depending on what mods your car has, work on the loose nut behind the wheel is the best opportunity for improvement. Get plenty of seat time driving and riding with fast drivers in similar cars to yours. Have some of the fast drivers that drive similar cars to yours ride with you and have them coach you. Listen to their feedback and suggestions.

What mods do you have done to your car? This may dictate which class you will run in.

You can see my sig. for the mods I have on my car.

I have 1" lowering springs and SFC's. I went to a autocross (1st time) a few months ago in a large parking lot. Most cars were Audis and BMWs, I ran about a 53 sec lap time and the fastest car there ran about 50 sec, it was a M3 with Sus mods. Too me it was a blast, far more enjoyable than 12-13 secs down a straight strip. Beating the piss out of the car, fishtailing, turning, pushing the suspension to the max, the course was very very tight so the smaller cars had a nice advantage but I know they didnt have the fun I did with my power mods. If I had some sticky tires I think I could have given the leaders a run for their money. I wish there was more of this type of racing. Thinking of going to the MFBA at Road America in a few weeks, driving at high speed and actually having to use the steering wheel for long periods of time would be awesome.

    Hello 10spokess,
Again, I would recommend seat time as your first step. Changing the shocks and or the front sway bar are good first mods to improve the suspension. I recommend Strano's front hollow 35mm sway bar and Koni single adjustable shocks. The Koni's will work with the stock springs as well as lowering springs if you decide to go that route in the future. I also like the adjustability. Koni's are expensive but I believe they have a lifetime warranty.

I ran 4-5 autocross events before I made several mods in the off season.

    You mentioned SFC's and I recommend UMI's 3-pt SFC's.

If you decide to upgrade the rear sway bar, I recommend Strano's adjustable hollow one. The adjustability is nice as you can have some ability to adjust the balance of the car. I run the softest setting for street and autocross and the stiffest setting for drag racing.

There are other mods you can do but I still recommend working on the loose nut behind the wheel. If you feel that your car is holding you back then have an experienced driver take it for a few runs with you in the passenger seat and if they do not beat your times by a decent margin, then you need to make the car better with mods.
02 Camaro SS, 35th Anniversary Limited Edition #1021, 6-speed, T-Tops, 345HP SLP option, CME, 3.73's, J&M LCA's, UMI 3-pt SFC's, Strano springs, KONI SA's, Strano 35mm front sway bar, Hellwig adjustable rear sway bar, Hawk HPS, UMI adjustable PHB
