Yank em!
I took the Bird to the track last night at Jefferson- Pageland, SC. I was amazed at the way my car was hooking. I ran 8.20's all night. Before any of you ask my mods.. here they are.. SLP Lid, Gutted Cats, B&B Tri Flo Cat Back...Me in the Driver seat. The car is a 02 M6 WS-6. These are not record breaking times however i was happy... I ran several Mustangs,Beat them all, a 69 Camaro (He handed me my ass with a 6.22 to my 8.22) and this kid in a SRT-4 Neon that was relentless in wanting to run me. After Beating him 3 Different times by at least 10 to 12 Cars.. He finally gave me a break. He was nice kid though. I have never seen a stock suspended car yank the front tires like mine did..I swear... no coil overs, drag shocks or anything..I do have a set of M/T Drag radials at 12 LBS of Pressure.. We had a lot of fun and will go back in a few weeks. I think im going to look into getting a gear in my car.. Think I can get some 8.0's or even some 7.90's out of it with just the gear. Here is 2 pics of My car pulling the front tires.
Enjoy

What rpm do you launch the car? How much did you heat up the DR's?

6000 RPM...
On the burnout. I rev to about 3000 then pop the clutch and hold the brake.. then hold it about 4000 rpm until I can not see behind me.
Thanks

very impressive launch with a stock vehicle and suspension but dont expect youre differential to take many more 6,000 r.p.m. launches with drag radials. I would be planning on upgrading to a 12 bolt very soon if this is going to be the norm for you.
anyway good luck.

60 Fts were 1.80's all night, I did get (1) 1.78 60 ft.
Gomez- you are correct.. Im sure a 12 bolt or U joints or something will be neede din the near future.
All said, I was expecting some "Pop's and Creaks" when launching that hard, but believe it or not.. nothing. I drove the car home and even drove it this morning to work.. and it purrs like a kitten...
I hope it holds up too.
Thanks for the replys!
