    Wheel Stands

    I'm getting my car back next week...
    Just added: 383stroker, Full Boltons, H/C, 3600stall

    Was just wondering what more I'm gonna need to do a wheel stand? Everything is forged so I'm eventually gonna go w/ a 200shot as well.
    Any feedback would be appreciated guys...

    Just do what your buddy BoostedV6 did w/his 2.8 Camaro, while running only a quarter of the power that you'll be making (if that). He somehow managed to pull the front end ten inches with just slicks and a 1.6x sixty foot LOL...!

    Seriously though Mike, it's all about the geometry behind your suspension setup, and how well you can plant that power down to the pavement. One of my fellow member's over on another board is running a 383 in his '91 Camaro, putting over 800 ponies to the wheels with a F1R ProCharger (with just 20-psi);

    ... he'd be the first to tell you that it's not necessarily how much power the engine makes, but how well the car is setup for lift, suspension wise....

    you don't really need that much power... as long as your car hooks up right...

    Ok, thanks Rob and everybody. I was just hoping you guys weren't gonna say that I need to make another 50-100hp to the wheels to stand it up...

    RIP S4 06Tbss

    Big stall and sticky tires !!! Keep the stock rear tell it blows for a funny storie, and make sure you get a vid so when it dose blow it will be fun to watch as well !!! Or just build the rear end and forget what I just said.....Spending the money now will save you in the long run....Reality suck.....and so do our rear ends....

    Yea, I'm worried about the trans as well. I know they should hold up till about 450hp or so. I slapped on a B&M trans cooler, so that should help alil I guess...

    I have the beast clutch basket & good clutch plates / bands and a cooler in mine. 4600 stall.. The part that's wearing out fast in it , is the valve body plate. One of the check balls was hammering through it... Trans-go make a good replacement I'll be using.

    Yea, I've seen those plates on eBay man. I'll look into building my trans and picking up one of them as well. Thanks.
