What will DR's get me? **update
Alright guys, went to the track the other day and heres the best time I could muster with my worn out Dayton Daytona street tires.
60'...2.065
1/8...8.476 @84.34 mph
1/4...13.118 @ 106.2 mph
Mods are in my sig, so I think its safe to say I could be doing MUCH better than that. Basically I was trying to find my sweet spot but with my poor tires I would either spin too much, or not launch hard enough trying not to spin.
So with a set of MT e/t streets or Nittos, what do you think I could be achieving in the quarter with say a 1.6-1.7 60'?Last edited by fwellingtonfiii; 05-10-2008 at 01:16 PM.

Based on your times, drag radials should be good for .4 - .5 in the quarter mile and will likely put you one step closer to replacing the 10 bolt rear end! HAHA!
Slapping a set of DR's on my Corvette netted me .5 in the quarter mile and was the most effective of all of the mods I chose for that car.2002 Camaro SS M6, 2.5 PRC 5.3L heads, TFS 228/230 cam, FAST 92, bolt ons + a 10 lb bottle in the back.

Sticky tires = new rear end. Sorry, it's just a matter of time.
Drag racing...just another numbers game.
