Red- 2001 Camaro SS
What can I expect in the 1/4 mile???
I ran my "kinda" stock '01 SS at Irwindale Raceway this past summer.
I ran a 8.6 with a 1 sec. R/T.
The car had a SLP airlid, bellows, & CAI.
It's an auto and i ran it with 44 psi in the tires.
My question is, what can i expect to do in 1/4 mi. now that it's also got a descreened SLP MAF and a TB bypass?
I know it's a totally hypothetical question, but i was wondering what you gear heads think...

My TA bone stock down to the paper filter with an A4. This was at US 41 dragstrip in Morocco,IN in July on a 80+ degree day, full weight, and a full tank of gas. I spun alittle because of the street tires. This should give you an idea.
Reaction time=.507
60 FT=2.03
1/8th mile=8.64
1/8th MPH=82.75
1000'=11.21
1/4 et=13.38
1/4 MPH=104

Why are you running 44psi in the tires? I bet you spun like a mad house. Also are you going to have a good set of street slicks on? or just street tires? Im guessing 13.2-13.7 range!

Red- 2001 Camaro SS
SLEEPER, i was running 44psi because i hadn't noticed everyone else was letting air out of their tires to get a better grip. I'm a rookie in my camaro.... Dragging my '57 bug is all i know.
But.....I actually had a great burnout and my tires seemed to hook up pretty nicely.
I don't think i'll be getting slicks, as i'm scared from what I read on here that my newly rebuilt (7 days ago) 10 bolt rearend will blow up!!
If i let air out the rears, what should i try? 25psi??
Oh, and i forgot to mention up there that my girls got an LS6 intake, and i'm now running 3.73's too!!

I would run 20-25psi in your tires.
I would say look forward to low 13's

if you look at the side of the tire it says max psi 44 50(cold) whatever you should never fill it to that tho because as the tires heat up the psi will go up as well then you will be over the max for what the tire can handle from what i have seen thew rise anywhere for 10 to 12 psi on dd cars racing is something else but i dont think it should be to much more then that so 25-30 should be fine
