    Weighed my car today!!!

    i previously weighed 3480

    w/ me and 1/8 tank of gas 3440 lbs

    just car w/out me 3300 lbs

    weight reduction includes
    -pass seat -removed today
    -rear seats
    -rear seat belts
    -sway bar
    -tie down hooks that are above the gas tank in the trunk - removed today
    -rear speaker panels - removed today
    -amp in rear quarter panel -removed today
    -radio -removed today
    -sun visors -removed today
    -t-top holder brackets in trunk -removed today
    -center console -removed today
    -spare tire/jack
    -WS9 hood
    -Skinnies
    -foam under the front bumper
    -windshield washer resivoir

    i will be putting the radio,amp,center console,visors,pass seat,and rear speaker panels back in after im done running tomorrow

    thats about it


    not bad, since i have a 12 bolt now and a catback when b4 i only had a true dual setup and the 10 bolt

    it was signed and offially sealed

    Wow! That's exactly what I was thinking. I can't remember weighing 140. That's definitely a positive thing in this sport. What does your car run?

    My car is 2950 and with me in it it's 3170 . and thats with the passenger seat in it .

    Removed bumper supports, front, rear, foglights, and honeycomb.
    Cragar Superlite II Wheels.
    Aluminum driveshaft
    12 bolt
    383 Stroker
    no carpeting or seats in rear.
    no console
    no airbags
    no sway bar in front
    no air conditioning
    no underhood liner
    Kirkey racing seats
    700R4 tranny
    Wolfe six point welded bar

    How the heck do you guys get your cars so light?

    geez your car is gutted and is still heavy.

    dont know what we are doin different but if i did the things u did id be close to 31XX lbs

    i just weighted mine also....... 3370 with a little more than an 1/4 tank...

    thats with rear seats/belts removed
    spare/jack, A/C, egr, removed........

    should be down to 3300 with 1/8 tank and passanger seat gone......

    my 2000 Z28 A4 weighs in at 3410 and 3620 with me in it. Me= 210 LBS

    That was with about a 1/4 tank of gas

    Ran a 13.5@102 MPH all stock 82000 miles

    Fuel I think runs around 6.7 lbs per gallon.
