    Times sound right???

Other than the mods in the sig, I am running 28 x 11.50 ET Streets at 18 psi. From reading other posts here, I think it should be running high 11s. The runs listed were at the same track, about 1160' above sea level.

    Typical run:
    60' 1.803
    330 5.171
    1/8 7.992
    mph 86.36
    1000 10.393
    1/4 12.549
    mph 108.19

Freak run: Don't know what happened here. Must have had a HUGE tail wind.
    60' 1.752
    330 5.077
    1/8 7.838
    mph 87.93
    1000 10.181
    1/4 12.276
    mph 111.15

I run with the traction controll off, but 1/2 way down the track the torque management disables the abs and all kinds of lights come on. Do you think the timing and fuel curves are affected when this happens?

The tune in the car is a box tune that came with the supercharger. Deff too rich...there is black soot in the tail pipes.

Am I right? Should I be seeing better times? Thanks in advance for your help.
    Drag racing...just another numbers game.

a custom tune should help. what rpms are you running through the trap? I would guess the 4.11 gears are to low for a force fed engine.

    Thanks for the reply.

When I had the stock size tires on, it went into fourth gear before I went through the traps. Since I went to the 28" tall tire It's at the top of third gear...I'm guessing about 5500 rpms.

Do you have any idea what is happening when my dash lights come on? I'm worried that the computer is switching to a conservative mode, like a low octane table or something.

I'm pretty sure that the cause of the problem is the massive difference in tire height front to rear. I'm more concerned about the effects (ie is it slowing my car down?). At some point I will get the torque management shut off. If it is slowing me down, I will re-prioritize and get it done sooner rather than later.

    Thanks for the help.

    Bob,

I think your car should be running a lot faster, and I highly recommend you take it to get a custom tune. How much boost are you making?

FWIW, I heard somewhere a long time ago that as a decent rule of thumb, multiply your 1/8 mph by 1.24-1.26 to get your 1/4 mph. Applying this rule of thumb to your car gives 107.1 - 108.8 for your first run and 109.0 - 110.79 for the second run. Because you have a centrifugal supercharger, that estimate should be a little on the low side. In any case, I would say that whatever's happening isn't hurting you much if any.

There's definitely something wrong, though. Go get a good tune and you'll pick up big power. Even if you're only pushing 6 psi, I think you should be trapping significantly higher than you are.

I do not have a boost gage, so I do not know the boost level. The sc is supposed to be putting out between 4 & 6 psi (yea, it's a small one). I'll be looking for a tune in the near future.

    Thanks for the reply.
