Stock Rear end
How many of you track guys use stock ear ends on track on a m6?
And how does it do?

They brake with stock hp, more so the m6's.

They break easily. Many people have done it under stock or close to stock power, I however had my stock rear end the entire time i had the car. 357whp, 427whp, 427whp and a 100 shot and i used nitto drag radials and e/t streets mostly on the street but it had about 12 or so track passes on it and it never broke. It was getting loud though at 60k+miles

Is it just track racing that screws them up or just launching in general?
Cause i don't ever launch my car

i see most break either on the launch or on the 2-3 shift... track conditions are NOT good for 10's if you plan to race get a 12 bolt or 9"

only takes a few hours to swap a rear and you can pick them up pretty cheap. i have no worries with mine in my automatic, and if it goes whatever. it's still going strong at 100k miles. car dead hooks on drag radials, grabs hard on the 1-2 shift with no torque management (destroys street tires on the shift), gets autox'd, an occasional doughnut every now and then, and it has never had a problem. sometimes their weakness is exaggerated. are they strong? no. but they're not going to explode on every launch. keep the stock gears and don't dump the clutch and it'll live for a while.

Put in some good axles and a after market locker and you will be good to go.
