    1997 Formula & 2003 cobra

Ran my stock 07 mustang GT

Decided to run my recently purchased 5 speed Manual 07 mustang GT with shitty 3.31 gears.

    Result was:

    13.4@102mph with 2.0 60' and a few 13.5@104s

She definitely has 13.3s in her stock, but I have already ordered intake and catback, so I wont be finding that out anytime soon.

Not too shabby for a 4.6L.

Not bad at all for a stock 4.6. I'd say you have some practice under your belt to come off with those times on a set of 3.31's. You need to swap up to 4.10's. I went from 3.55's to 4.10's and took almost a full .2 seconds off my time, but I never ran an NA GT any better then a 13.5 even with the 3.55's let alone airplane gears.
How does it compare to your Formula?

What happened on the 104mph traps? Miss shifts? Sounds like you had a good launch for what I'm assuming were street tires.

I ran my car stock with street tires when I first got her and it ran a 13.5X at 104MPH.

Since he ran faster with lower MPH, on those 13.5 times he probably spun a little more out of the gate.

Sorry I totally forgot about this thread lol.

Thanks. Yeah I have ran 13.4 with my 06 GT before, 12.70 with a stock 03 cobra letting the gas go twice due to wheelhop. then 11.3 with nothing but a pulley swap, 12.98 in a 99 M6 trans am, and now 13.4 with her.

I just bought 4.10s, slp loudmouths, pypes O/R H, C&L Street intake, Xcal2 tuner and will add deleteplates as well. It should get me to 310rwhp and about 325 or so rwtq and that should bring me to what? 12.5s? I hope so.

I have been getting lucky on running good times at tracks

Nope, ONLY difference was, on 104mph trap runs, I had hooked just the way i did on the 102mph traps, but on 104mph traps the engine was completely cooled off (about 1 hr or wait in between runs). on 102mph run, i drove to track 120miles and straight to staging lines. I hooked well and SURPRISINGLY ran a 13.4 but trapped a little low due to a very hot engine. I wish I arrived a bit early and cooled her off. I think it would have been 13.3s. Oh well, time to find out what she has to offer with mild bolts on

    Thanks guys!!!

3 valve with 5 speed on 4.10's = no top speed at all! I would stick with a mid range gear such as 3.55's. I think your tranny gears are shorter then a 6 speed also. Great Time btw! Most 3 valve owners aren't even touching the times you are stock for stock.
