popped my track cherry :D
well last night I got a chance to go out to a strip for the first time.
I went with a friend but he just came to watch. I made about 10 passes and got to go whenever I wanted cuz it was a really slow night. sadly though it was only an 1/8th track, but it was tons of fun regardless.
here's my best slip:
R/T: .117
60: 2.036
1/8: 8.709
mph: 82.45
I'm kinda disappointed w/my 1/8 time considering i'm using drag radials, I consistently ran 8.8 and managed 8.7 a few times. Is this normal or should I have been doing better w/my mods? I was getting absolutely 0 spin on each run. the tires+track allowed me to hook no problem each time
mods: A4, 273, catback, hf catted y, lid, k&n, lower springs, stiffer shocks/struts, lca relos, toyo proxy tq 275/r16 drag radials

Your 60' time I'm thinking isn't that great with DRs. I was cutting the same 60' time on street tires. I'm an M6 though so I don't really know how much difference there would be from an A4 since you aren't stalled.

well let me rephrase, they're drag radials but they are street legal, they aren't hardcore like mickey's

Well with street tires I cut 2.06 60' time when i was bone stock.
With Nitto's, which is what your tire would be equivalent to I'm guessing, I cut 1.906 60', but I didn't practice much with them or try launching by feathering the clutch out. I was dumping it at 4500 when I got that 60' with Nitto's

I've had several A4 f-bodies and when they are pretty much stock they tend not to go below 2.0 for 60'.....I'm sure someone has but I've not seen it.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
When my car was stock with 2.73's I still turned a 1.9x 60' with stock tires. Had to burn about 5k miles off of the RSA's though...
FWIW: My MT's are street legal...67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

I have cut 1.94's on stock street tires. Lower control arm relocation brackets will help you in a big way

so then i guess i just wasn't launching at a high enough rpm mybe?
I always launched just under 1k rpm cuz I was afraid of the tires breaking loose and messing up my run. the burnouts were so much fun tho, I've never held a burnout as long as 6/7 sec b4 last night
I've got tons of black shit all behind the back of my tires on the body

thanks, i'm heading out to track in Ennis in a couple weeks and I'll see what I can manage in the quarter out there. O and another question. since I have DR's is it dangerous for me to continue the burnout past the water box? i don't wanna risk messing up my rear.
