new Personal Best...with video!
went to the track a couple weekends ago and ran my new PB with my new H/C/I setup. the weather was pretty crappy (3800 DA and 90 degrees) but the track seemed to hook up pretty well. we were both sleeping at the tree too. he had a .51 r/t to my .56 and he got the win light by .0225. it was a good run! Car is full weight, probably 3800lbs with me in it...even had the spare tire in the back!

r/t: .56
60': 1.80
Time: 12.16
MPH: 117
i forgot to grab my time slip out of the car so i can't tell you the 330ft or 1/8th time/mph but i'll edit this thread when i get home today.
mods are: Xtreme Horsepower Solutions 5.3L heads p&p stg 2.5, Comp Cams 232/234 .595/.598 112lsa, ported fast 92mm and throttle body, ford 9" rear w/ 4.11 gears, textrallia 0z700x-grip clutch and bald BFG 17" drag radials.
other car had: TSP 5.3l p&p heads, 234/238cam, ls6 manifold, 411 gears, TH350 auto with 4000 stall.
he ran a 12.18 at 114.
i have some Race star industries 15"s with some sticky tires coming, hoping for 11 real soon!

i'd be happy with 11.90's...i'm hoping the weather will cooperate and be less humid and not as hot. i'd like a 2000 or lower DA..

With that trap speed you will be in the 11's in no time. Can't wait to get there.

oh yeah. i have those. the LCA's are on the bottom holes. i have a set of rims / tires coming, hoping to get that 60' down. i know i don't have the most optimal spring / shock setup for drag racing, but i wasn't going for a pure drag car if i can knock out some low 1.7's or high 1.6's 60's on koni's and lowering springs, i'll be happy! just need the driver mod

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Nice runs. You lost because you slept at the light. Personally I dig treeing faster cars (I've done it more than once - people see an old man and think he's slow -hahahaha)...
What type of tires? I have an A4 but I found MT ET Street DR's work great for me. I get consistant 1.7x 60' times. Using them allows me to drive to the track (lets me swap tires at home).
Since you have a 9" you could/should have gone with slicks.67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.
Carbon footprint? CLOWN SHOE!

I have mine on the middle. Up to you to try what you wish. But after heating up my nittos, I can dead hook.
I have a cam, stall, bolt-ons.

i had nittos...with the 6 speed, they wouldn't even come close to trying to hook...in any conditions after any sort of burnout or clearing off of the tires. i like my BFG DRs a loooot better. but i have heard other auto guys say the nittos are good for them.
