Talking New best today @ Cecil track rental

Went to the track about a month and a half ago and with stock longblock, stock cam, stock intake, stock A4, but 3600 stall, Longtubes, ORY, Stock catback, self ported TB, lid and a tune, the car went 12.66@107. Car made 322rwhp on a Mustang dyno. (tuned before the converter swap)

About 3 weeks ago, I swapped in a "baby" 226 cam (.595" lift, 112lsa), and took it in for re-tune. The car made 344rwhp/314rwtq. Then last Saturday, I swapped on an LS6 intake, which really seemed to open up the midrange and top end. I also took off the POS, non-functioning Home Depot "catch can" and replaced with one of the sweet (and cheap) Norris Motorsports versions.

Took it to a private track rental today and first pass was 11.95@114 w/1.70 sixty foot. A few passes later, it ran it's best pass to date.

    11.77@115 w/1.64 sixty foot.

Made 9 passes and car was great. No issues, no problems, no nothing...lol.

A half dozen of my buddys and my son, all told me that most every pass it was pulling the driver's side front wheel a few inches off the ground.

Can't wait to get the pics.

    Nice ET/MPH.

You ran at the Super Stallions of the Net track rental, right?

I was going to go, but I had to work.

Sucks because I like Cecil - never too crowded & I usually run 1 - 2 mph faster there versus other local tracks.

Here's a video from my last Cecil visit earlier this month:

... a little faster on the juice.

Yes, it was the SuperStallions rental....been to every one since 1999, just usually with a Mustang.

I'm actually heading up this morning for one last day of drag racing since I am off work....a rarity.

Nice looking/running car you have BTW.

That's an impressive stable of past/fast cars!

I was going to go today as well, but my wife had to work so I'm on kidwatch.

Should be a good day for new best(s) if the starting line isn't too slick...

Thanks a lot for the compliment!

    As for the starting line...
    Seemed to work pretty well...

It was a bit crowded, but ran pretty smooth...even after an 8 second car wrecked and a few imports blew up.

    Went a "new" best again...lol

    11.67@115 (1.58 sixty foot)

I made 6 passes and 11.77 (1st pass off of the highway) was the slowest.
