    My first time for 2009

Last year in August the car would not run any faster than 14.0-14.1@101. This year I fixed the catalytic converter that was robbing me of power and we tuned the car, fixed the transmission shifting profiles. Honestly I was shooting for a 13.5@104-105ish.

After trying to get some runs in last Friday and Thursday but ended up getting rained out, I went last night. I got some nice starting runs, 6 altogether. The car has just a lid, catback, cutout was closed. Weather was a little humid, temps in the mid 70's...not bad out.

    First run
    Launched at 1,000
    60' 2.2
    1/4 ET 13.8
    MPH 101.95

    Second run
    Same launch rpm
    60' 2.1
    1/4 ET 13.7
    MPH 101.60

Third run- Best run of the night.
    Launched at 1200 rpms
    60' 2.1
    1/4 ET 13.5
    MPH 102.45

    Fourth run

Sucked ass. I tried launching a littler higher and redlit, blew the tires immediately. So I pedalled it got right back in it and the trans had shifted into 2nd by then. I finished I ran a 14.0@101

    Fifth run
Launched a little softer around 900
    60' 2.2
    1/4 ET 13.8
    MPH 101.44

    Sixth run
    Launched at 1100
    60' 2.2
    1/4 ET 13.8
    MPH 101.21

Overall, the mph is down and I need to work on things, but the car is running 4-6 tenths faster than last year. I thank Frost for helping me out and his tuning got the transmission shifting the way it should(chirps 2nd gear real nice ). Now it is time to make up some power.

The mph is low if it is an auto then it is not bad. What gears? What was your tire pressure? Get lower control arm relocation brackets they make a difference you feel and see in your 60' times, my thread "new times" is 2 threads below yours check it out. Your getting better keep at it.

It is an Auto with 3.23's and the mph is low for that setup. Tire psi was around 25 on 18 inch Sumitomo's.

If you want to go faster put you stock 16's back on all 4 corners inflate the fronts to 40+ psi and deflate the rears to 20psi. Having 18's screws with our gearing ratio-just makes the 3.23's act like 3.08's. I'm surprised your not getting better 60's with that aftermarket torque arm, any wheel hop coming out of the hole?

I know the 18's do not help, and my front tires were at 40 psi. I have been playing this sport for 9 years The 18's weigh more and I am looking at stock rims and putting a DR out back for the track use.

I haven't notice any wheel hop.

If you have a stock stall dr's will bog your car out of the hole-I don't recall what brand but a local with same mods and stock stall was bogging with dr's and ended up going back to his street tires. His best is a 12.8.

Looks like good weather today so another round tonight. I may try it with the cutout open and may try flashing the converter this time.

That MPH is still real low for a auto... I have mods below and trap 108 in the 1/4. Stock it woulda been around 104-105 mph... What was the DA? and do you have any check engine lights on? fuel filter is good? How many miles?

I thought that relocation brackets were more for lowered cars in order to maintain the correct suspension geometry. What do they do for a non-lowered car, change the I/C?

They also help with traction issues and wheel hop as well.
