Is my car too fast for what it has??

I know I know, a car can never be too fast, but help me out here. I have a 2001 SS M6 with 72,000 miles on it. The only Mod is a SLP loudmouth CB and a unknown whisper lid. I took it to the track for the first time and ran a 13.21 @ 108.87 on bald street tires. (20-30%) The 13.21 came as a little bit of a surprise because of the tires but what was shocking to me was the trap speed. So am I way off base here or should this car be running 13.50's @ 104 ish?? BTW I am not at all complaining!

With minor air intake/exhaust mods, that sounds about right.

Thats moving for a car with that many miles and old. You do have the ls6 intake so that might help you out a bit. Either ur a skilled driver or that thing is a factory freak.

    Thumbs up

Those are good numbers for those mods, especially the trap speed, but I have very close to the same mods, and am always in the 13.20's @106-107 mph in sept. at RFR in Eau Claire,Wisc, with a best of 13.04(see sig) in April, for some reason my car digs April air, my best passes are always in the spring, anyway, those are respectable #'s for sure, but I wouldnt say they are freakish-just my .02. no disrespect intended.

Thats pretty good I've seen very good numbers out of these cars. I have a 99 1le and I took it to the track the day I bought it and ran 13.09 @ 107.9 with 150 miles on it, so these cars can put some good numbers down.

Thats great times, I think that mt. park dragway is around 1200ft. I've always wanted to run somewhere thats sea level. I have an 02 also now that I've ran 12.91 @ 110.72 on street tires. It has an airlid and cat-back. The best I got out of my 99 with bolt-ons was 12.30 @ 111 with a 3.73 headers, slp loudmounth, airlid, and pulley.
