How do you Launch ?
I am curious to see how people are getting the best 60' times with their six speeds. I used to have a solid system for my old Camaro, but with this LS1 I have not found a happy balance yet.

What kind of tires are you running? On 16" Goodyear F1s I dump the clutch at about 2250 with a good balance of only minor slip; On 18" Toyos with a 45 profile, I can dump it at 2500-2750 and hook pretty solid, but the tires slow me down more than they help...
with e/t streets I would dump it at 3250... once in a blue moon 4000 would hook, but it turned out to be too much for the rear end, lol; "hello 10-bolt #4!"She's baaaaaccccck...

Mine are BFG G-Force KDW 275/40.
Today the track was slick, at idle they were still spinning way more then I could deal with.

In my Z28 I launch @ 3200-rpm on Nitto 555R 285/35-18's (with Yank "SS" stall). As far as my 'vette, I launch at about 2700-2800rpm on BF Goodrich 315/35 Drag Radials.

On 26' ET Streets on stock 16' rim I heat the tires with a 2nd gear burnout. Rev to anywhere from 4,500-5,500rpms (Mcleod clutch, Strange 12 bolt) and just dump it. Gets me low/mid 1.7s.
