Guys with Cut-outs ...
what are your E.T.'s/mph gains with the cut-out open vs. closed at the track ?
I may be ordering a DMH one soon myself.2002 DBM SS Camaro

Mine varies with a few different cars. It really depends on how efficient the exhaust system is, and how effectively placed the cutout or cutouts are. One cutout verses two cutouts etc....
Also how aggressively the car is tuned. On the edge with AFR? Running a little rich on a hot day may see a substantial improvement in ET by opening the cutouts.
Lots and lots of variables.

i rean 13.0 afr 3 inch cut outs on my y pipe long tubes cam and bolt ones
magnaflow 3 inch 12.45 with them open i get more in thq 12.3s and pick up 1 mph

If you have a good exhaust now.... I would spend the money else where! For 1 it sounds like shit & hurts your ear for No reason. Unless U have a shitty exhaust now the & the tune is off the gains are Very small. If the car is tuned properly with the exhaust when bypassing it the A/F will now be off. ALL that noise can Easily trick people!

Cut outs are nice but if you arent even in the 12's don't waste your time or money or my Hearing! thats one thing that really makes me mad lol. We have a few 14's cars running open heads. Nothing more annyoing then a slow, very loud car lol.

You should see if you can find someone local that has an LS1 with a cutout so you can judge for yourself if you like the sound or not, the gains are minimal but about right for the price. If you like a loud exhaust system then you'll enjoy the cutout, some people think they sound like a dump truck or just plain sound like shit but that's their opinion. I like the way mine sounds and that's what matters most.

more times then not they can hurt you down low, but i think people do it more for sound thats mainly why i had it, i didnt notice it in my times but closed car felt more smooth on accel closed it felt more umph i guess felt like it threw you back a little harder.

With the DMH setup closed on my Camaro I ran the best of a 13.0 @106, open was a 12.9 @107...I would also spend the money elsewhere...like a cam
