After seven seasons of racing I still have yet to see a factory freak. What I do see are sometimes DA at -400, great traction, great drivers, perfect runs..... But I have yet to actually see a factory freak.

Do you run at Bradenton ? I am going to Test & Tune Thursday the 15th ? It would be good to see you there . Should be in the 50's that night .

Collectors Edition Yellow- 2002 Pontiac Trans AM WS6
I did run a 12.92 with my 02 WS6 m6 being bone stock... 2.01 60ft at raceway park with 71deg temp... I thought that was alittle too quick but then again traction was good and i am a very good stick driver ao it's possible...

So all you have to do is full exhaust to get into the 12's O_o.

Black- 2001 Trans Am WS6
Looks impressive to me. Long tubes can add anywhere from 15-30 whp from what i've read. I'd imagine you ran your car in - DA. My car is only trapping 109 mph w/ 351 whp, and I nailed every shift perfectly (Maybe it's the 2000 DA, dunno).

wow, those are some impressive times. i'm just planning on doing a lid, headers and exhaust. with an a4 you think that could hit in the 12s?

Im fairly new to the board and enjoy reading the posts. Im not a professional drag racer by no means but I see alot of posts on here about ET's and what mods are neessesary to run them.
While I agree that it takes a certain amount of HP/TQ to run say a 12 sec ET, it also depends on the driver track conditions etc. (That is a great Time posted above..especially on street tires)
When you are mildly modding your car (Exhaust/free Mods/ Lid Etc) you can expect some power gain.. however this does not guarantee you better ET's. Your 60 Ft time is as important as how much horsepower or torque you are making. Make sure you have good suspension mods to compliment your engine mods.
Dont get me wrong Mod your car all you can afford.. Im doing the same, (as funds allow) but at the same time practice driving.. It sounds like the guy who started this post can drive pretty damn well..
Any enough of my rambling just hate to see folks spend a lot of money on mods that do produce horsepower but do not yield the ET's they desire..because of bad track conditions that night or simply put not enough experience behind the wheel at the strip
its all about the Driver!
Thanks
Steve

^^^could not agree more, and the tires make such a difference too, but yeah, track conditions at my local drag strip suck most of hte year, so i've been told it runs about a .3 of a second slower than other tracks in the area.
