Drag Day
So I went to the track today. It was just 1/8th mile runs. I was waiting to line up with my friend driving a g5, who wimped out to race a slower car. Then a 98 mustang pulled up next to me, bragging about his car and times blahblahblah. So we stage up and I got him off the line and just kept walking on him. All in all I ran a 9 flat with a stock TA.

the g5 was running 10.3 all day until he lined up for his bracket and then ran a 10.1 causing him to get eliminated. And i have the t56.

WOW 10.3 is bad, a buddy of mine ran 10.4 with a 240sx 4cyl stock LOL.
But Sounds like yours is coming along.
How was your 60's?

Yeah my old T-bird SC would run 10 flats in the 1/8th.....10.3 is pretty dang bad.

havent done 60's yet. I was running on street tires and was having a real hard time hooking up in first, feathered it a little and then it just launched. My roomates mustang was running 8.8 all day with full exhaust, intake, 4.10 and no tune. I expcted better and glad to know he didn't kill me that bad.

I would think with a few small upgrades you can hit 8.3-8.6's all day.

A Friend of mine with a B18b and a single turbo @12lbs of boost ran 8.26@96 in the 1/8th. With 14inch street tires LOL, It was pointless for him to try and boost it in 1st and 2nd gear. Honda's are worthless. He sold the car a few weeks later I talked him into real power.

ooo yeah fatty slicks up front and skinnies in the back. I gotta admit it was goofy looking and not great on launching due to fwd, but once it hit second it was gone.

I hate 1/8 mile tracks, my best is like a 7.7@95 or something, but I pick up like 25mph in the back half........hence why I hate 1/8 mile tracks.
Why did they ever invent such a thing?

I think they ran out of Land LOL, Thats all we have here in TN besides Bristol, which is 4hrs away from me. SO I doubt I will ever run a 1/4.

I drive 2 hours to my track of choice (Cecil County), but there are actually about 4 1/4 mile tracks within 2 hours of me.
Maple Grove
Beaver
Cecil
Numedia

Dang. must be nice, I never go to the track without my trailor :} I always find someone just a little bit faster than me and I start launching harder and usually end up pulling my car home :} But thats the fun in racing!!
The last 2 times I been at the track I have Broke.
1st Broke both axles at the line (6400 RPM launch) LOL
2nd Broke the driveshaft 1st pass on the line ( 3600RPM launch 5lbs of boost on launch control)
So there is no need of me traveling to break on the first pass!!

Theres a few 1/4 mi tracks near me, but this one was free that day and decided to go. found out it was only an 1/8 mi.
+1 on the wheelstand comment its the closest thing to being able to fly. its just pure joy looking up at the sky and then hoping you land and stay straight on the threads.
IMO the 1/4 mi is where all times and traps are proven. It's the american way of racing.
