Disappointing time, videos and pics.

Well i went to the track last friday and was hoping for 12.7s or so but i knew it all depended on my trans.. I only got to run twice and my best was 13.0 at 107.6mph with a 1.90 sixty foot. I had a feeling my trans was on its way out but this night confirmed it. 1-2 shift- chirps em.. 2-3 shift- bounces of the rev limiter 3 or 4 times before shifting (set at 6200rpm).. I know that alone cost me a few tenths but it seemed like the car fell on its face in high cus of the transmission issues.

There was a another black TA there, had a cam that was .60x lift on intake/exhaust ( cant remember exact numbers). We ran and he put up a 12.3 to my 13.0 Heres 2 vids, first one is me and the black TA, second one you can hear me bouncing off the rev limiter.

Haha thanks, its actually catted for emissions, but hopefully after tomorrow they will be gutted and it will sound even meaner.. Now only if it were faster..

Yeah, well leaving off pretty much idle doesnt leave much room for spinning haha. They really prepped it good that night though, I honestly cant remember anyone spinning who was running a decent tire.

What tires were you running? Yeah your car does sound mean! Better luck next time though. What about the red T/A in the foreground of the first pic?

Im running Nittos, they hook great for me at the track. And thanks! It sounds a lot better to me now though cus i got the cats gutted haha. I did fix my IAT code yesterday too so hopefully it wont pull timing anymore either. I never got to see that red TA run though, they were always running that lane when they told us to get to our cars.

Thanks! Im gonna remember that comment a month from now cus im starting my t56 swap in about 2 weeks and after thats done, i have a feeling its gonna be spin city haha.

On a side note,the cars power feel MUCH smoother since i fixed that code and reset everything, hopefully i can bust out a 12.9 or so next time.
