Exclamation Dear God! Somebody Help Me!

Took the WS6 to the track last night to finally try my skill w/ the M6. And the results humiliated me:

    Notes:
1st: Wheelspin warmup and take-off and 1-2 shift, shifts at 6000 rpm
2nd: No warmup, less spin on takeoff still 1-2 shift, missed 2-3 shift, shifts @ 6000 rpm
3rd: Revved to 2000 rpm and dropped clutch, less wheelspin on takeoff, shifts @ 5500 rpm

    Stock tires at 30 psi.

    1st 2nd 3rd
    Reaction .8230 .7940 .3340
    60ft 2.4770 2.4620 2.7589
    330 6.4341 6.3431 6.5811
    594 8.92.0 8.9328 9.0399
    1/8 9.4748 9.5808 9.5901
    MPH 81.24 69.44 81.79

    What's the trick to a good 60ft w/ a M6?
I've had my Z28A4 at the track and of course, A's are almost idiot-proof, but this was my first time w/ the M6.

    Thanks in advance.

Damn dude, that is pretty bad.

Trick to a good 60 ft.? That is different for every setup.

    Street tires
For me, at least 295's (Toyo Proxes work real good when hot) on the back, heat 'em up one good time, drop the clutch at about 2 grand, gradually lay into it while slipping the clutch a little, if you feel wheelspin, back off the throttle a hair until she grabs, then floor the motherf*cker! Usually she hooks after that. First gear is the trick, after that just shift it fast, and hard, right at redline, with the petal to the metal!

    Slicks
Never tried it, but I imagine I could prolly drop it around 3500 or so, and expect it to hook.

the biggest tip, if it's spinning, LET OUT. it doesn't help to just keep spinning. then, get back in it. i run 24 psi in the street tires.

here's how i've been telling people with manuals how to launch. hold the rpms to about 2200 rpms with the clutch pedal up to the point to just before it engages. when it's time to go, let out the clutch WITHOUT adding gas pedal. if it's hooking, then add as much gas pedal as you can without breaking loose the tires. if tires spin on launch, decrease rpms at launch. if bogs, add more rpms to launch. if you spin, let out and get back in it. the more you spin, the worse the ET. we all know this, we just keep forgetting to let out and get back in.
