Depending on driver ability, the '98 should have the advantage.

Your stall and DR's should put a whooping on the 2010.

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
If he is running street tires with a M6 trans his shot at beating you will go up in smoke with his tires. Good luck.

Unless you have a cam and heads or N2O I will say the other guy is favored. I've gone up against them several times with what I have in my signature and have gotten beat each time, a few has been close (1/2 car) but still lost. Of course it may be because I was running on street tires but still.

My ET was cut by 0.7s in the 1/4 with drag radials, headers, and exhaust. I was putting down 330rwhp at that time with only that, a lid, and tune. I would suspect the OP's car is even faster than my car was back then with his stall size.

You will win.
I had a 02 Z28 w/ a SS3600 stall, headers, full exhaust, tune, & free mods, and ran 12.3 @ 111 mph, not to mention that was with 2.73 gears! I can only assume you would run the same or better. The 10' SS doesn't stand a chance. Im yet to see better than a 12.6 - 12.8 being reported from the A6. Correct me if im wrong here...

After I put in a new set of points and a PCV valve my Aspen wagon should blow that Blazer away.

yeah I didn't think the new Camaro was super quick for being so much newer over the fourth gen crowd... too heavy sat in one liked it but still aren't they like 3700-3800-lbs? at any rate the op said his friends ss is an auto which has the l99 a 400bhp car and the op should have close to that in his ls1 right? weight to his advantage gears idk what the a6 ss is paired with so id say its all in the launch correct in assuming so? I've roll raced one before and took a car on it before we shut down. 30-70 if I remember right. had to be an auto I'm sure of it stock too. he was surprised by the run look on his face said it all. kinda fun getting the gm car guys running with each other cause they usually appreciate each others muscle better.
