Easy answer -- TA by a lot. The GT is probably only got about 200-210 rwhp. Yea he will probably get you at the beginning because of the low gears and the DR's but once you hit about 30 you will toast him.

Yea, they got a bump in h.p. from 215 to 260 in 99. I think you will still own him, Is it a coupe to? might be a closer race than we thought. Also depends on how good he is at a stick, Launcing etc.

if he is a good driver that car should be in the low 13s.
What does your car run at the track or do you know. Are you on radials or a sticky tire of some sort? My guess your car runs about mid 13s to 13.30s on radials.99 Mustang 3V conversion GT 5spd
L/T, catted X, Pro dumps, CAI, Custom tune, 4.10 gear, 26x11.5x17 E.T. Streets. After market upper and lower control arms and adjustable struts and shocks, stock springs.

No way the 99 GT is in the low 13's. High 13's at best. I seen many with full exhaust still running low 14's.

Come To Az
Its NOT FORDS fault all you've seen is non-drivers/ non-tuners!!!
You ALWAYS have to remember you can have 11 second car and someone who can't drive and it will run 13's for 2 years at the track and one night he will finally let a REAL driver get in it and it blows off a 11.30.
I've personally taken MANY of my customers for rides in their own cars and watched them grab the armrest and get wide eyed scared shitless......Then we pull up back to my shop & the only thing they can say is "DAMN I NEVER KNEW MY CAR WAS THAT FAST!"

ive got radials....hes got a bunch of suspension parts. KYG Adj shocks and DR's. Pretty good driver, but before he put on the sticky tires an 98 Camaro a4 ls1 beat him by like 1/2 car in the 1/4 mile. But the camaro was completley stock.

Custom Slate Blue- 99 B4C
Gears and drag radials people, it may be a GT but mods still make it faster. I've got a friend here that runs mid 13s with pretty much the same mods as that guy

Maybe mid-high 13's but low 13's are definately not the norm. Bone stock ls1 f bods have gone 12's but I'd never claim that in a thread like this.
