    60' and the aluminum ds

what is your best 60' on the factory aluminum drive shaft?

i have been cutting 1.74 with my steel and have decided to got aluminum for weight savings, plus it eliminated all vibrations i had, won't be able to go to the track until it opens in the spring, but will like to have some piece of mind if someone else is running in the 1.60 range with an auto and not having any problems, i have seen them break on m6 cars but that was when they dump the clutch at 5,000, my auto isn't near that hard on the drive line, even with my 2800 fuddle

please post, 60' times, gear, stall, tire size, m6 or a4

    thanks

thats a damn good 60'. I think i'm in the clear, hopefully i can get in the 1.69 range next spring.

since the 1.74 time i removed about 90lbs, 8lbs of that being the drive shaft, fixed shift points from 6,500 to 6,200 on the 2-3 shift, relocated the battery to the trunk, and still plan on the lighter k-member and fiberglass hood, thats another 50 lbs off the nose.

maybe an 11.99 if the air is right
