12.743 @ 108.74 mph w/ 1.90 60'
My best quarter mile time is a 12.743 @ 108.74 mph w/ 1.90 60'
This was at Orlando Speed (Spin) World.
Modifications: SLP Lid, Custom Exhaust, 3.42 Gears, Mickey Thompson Drag Radials.
My car is an auto (4L60E), and still has Stock Exhaust Manifolds.
Is that quarter mile time good for my mods?

I've never been to the track, but that's definitely a good ET and mph. Get LT headers, SFC, a stall and some 3.73 gears and you'll be haulin' ass!

Thats actually a really great time for what you have. Pick up some LT's and a tune alone and you'll drop a few tenths. Add a nice stall and gears, and id say in near perfect conditions, you could hit 11.99

The Drag Radials are set at 18 PSI.
But if the track prep is really bad that night, I lower them to 16 PSI.
I’ve never went any lower than 16 PSI.
I keep the front tires at 40 PSI.
Also a little tip, go around the water box. You don’t want to get your front tires wet, because you’ll pull water to the starting line.
And when you do your burnout, don’t burn out directly in the water box. That will spin water up into your quarter panels, and the water will drip onto your tires at the starting line causing you to spin.
You want to go around the water box, then back your rear tires into the water, then pull out of the water about 2 feet, and do a burnout until you see some smoke, and then make sure to pull the burnout out a few feet so there is no rubber buildup on your tires because that will make you spin also.
Stage the car quickly so the drag radials don’t cool off too much, and go on the third yellow light.
By the time you react and go on the third yellow light, the light will be green.
I cut consistent .05 to .08 lights (reaction time).

Yea, I usually stay .1 and under. Hard to be consistent with a manual though. Just wanted a little feedback on the tire pressure. I have Nitto drag radials and they aren't performing like I thought they would. Been running about 25 lbs. but my 60 ft. time is still 2.0**. I was doing that with street tires. Kinda miffed, so I'll keep toying with the pressure.

nitto 555 or nitto 555r, the 555r is a drag radial, the 555 is a street tire.i do fine on my 245 nitto 555r 1.74 60' and my buddy with a 6 speed has cut a 1.84 60 on the same 245 tires. we also have our front bumper supports and sway bars out to help weight transfer

good times, keep the 3.42 and get a 3200 stall and see low 12's and with headers you may see 11.999 the stall is actually better for an auto if there is a big tranny cooler. the stall converter its self is over 20lbs lighter to help cushion shifts and keep from breaking hard parts. my tranny has lasted a long time with my stall. almost double so far from my factory converter and still shifting on a dime

Great times and speed. It's hard to believe that you are getting that kind of speed with practically no mods. Is it possible the car was modded before you got it.
