ZR1 17x11 fitment question, and...these or Z06 Motorsports?? Pics anyone?
I think I'm just about done deciding on rims for my Z, just 2 more questions, one about fitment and one about wheel choice...I'm doing 17"s all the way around because I despise the staggard wheel look of 18"s on back and 17"s up front. Anyway...
1. Do the 17x11 ZR1 rears fit the 98-02 Camaro's without any issues?? And what size tire should I put on them(I'm not used to such a wide rim)?
2. Should I go with the ZR1 or Z06 Motorsport rims?
I'm leaning towards ZR1's, especially if the 17x11's will fit ok...they're just a lot cleaner and a more simple design, which is how I like my cars, but the Z06 Motorsports aren't bad really...I just saw them on an SS on e-bay and they looked sick!
Pics would be great too if anyone has them. I'd like to see the ZR1's mostly, there don't seem to be as many around.

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
17x11 zr1 on all corners here... fit perfectly.
Make sure to get the +50mm offset.
17x11 go well w/ 315/35-17 tires.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

The rear tires (315's on 11" rims) did stick out a bit, but the real trouble was that they rubbed in the wheelwell. I didn't feel it, but I saw some rubber accumulated on the trailing arms.
For grins, I tried the 315's on the front. They were too wide to allow the tire to turn past the fender w/ steering.
Spacers can be used for clearance, but you have to be vigilant in torquing your lugs.
My car is strictly for race. The offset for the ZR1 fronts wouldn't clear my Wilwood calipers.
If you don't have larger brakes/calipers/rotors, you could probably get by w/ 17 X 9.5 rims and run 275 series tires in the rear, maybe a little more narrow in the front.
In my Corvette, the wider tires helped alot w/ grip and handling. The TA is a little different (no independant rear suspension) so I am learning how to drive it just as fast as the Vette w/ only 275 series tires.
My 315's were Hoosier slicks, which do run a little wider than some other tires.
