will 16" salad shooters fit a 99 WS6 for rear wheels

I'm curious about a 16" wheel w/ a all weather type (none hi-preformance dry tire) for slippery conditions.

1.will 16" salad shooters fit a 99 WS6 for rear wheels?

2. how wide is the salad shooters?

3.I would like to match the orginale aspect ratio of the 17x40x275

4. please recommend a very good traction tire for slippery condition that would fit the 16" wheel.

1) Yes

2) 16"x8" IIRC

3) Stock size dimensions for the 16x8's I had were 255/55/R16's. I know that my current size of 255/40/R17's are within a 1/2" taller then the 16" size. My rears have 275/40/R17's and they were almost a full inch taller then the 16" size. Any good tire shop will give you best recommendations on tire's Bigger does not necessary mean better.

4) Tire shop's. I'm running Nitto 555's. I have to say they handle the rain and standing water very well. BUT they are a SUMMER tire only. I live far enough south that I can run them all year. Some of the members that live in the northern states should be able to recommend a good all weather tire, but most hibernate their rides till better/SAFER days.



But I got to ask, why are you looking at that horrible looking wheel? Wanting a second set of wheels to swap out for the winter?

Goodyear Eagle Sport, Eagle F1 Assymetric or Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Go with 245/45ZR16 and you should be good to go.
