Widest rim/tire without mods

How wide of an aftermarket rim/tire can be on a 2000 trans am ws6 without mods?

I was running Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's at 18"x10" with a 315 wide tire. It did rub slightly but an adjustable panhard bar fixed that up.

17x11 or 18x11 is easily installed... gotta make sure you have a adj-PHR to minimise chances of rubbing due to GM clearances on stock PHR

I've heard that on the Camaro you may have to remove or relocated the bump stops. This is just what I heard as I have a Trans Am.

so I can do a 17 or 18 by 10 without adjusting o a 17 or 18 by 11 with adj pan bars?

With going with a 10" or 11" rim I would sudjest the panhard bar. Or take the chance of rubbing in you take a corner to hard.

I run 315x35 17 Drag radials on a 17x11 wheel. my z28 is lowered and I did not have to mod anything.

the fronts have 275 40 17.
