Who daily drives on their draglites?

Just wondering if what people think about draglites for a DD
Thinking about getting 15x3.5s up front and 15x8s out back
Scared the 3.5s might be a little small and not too many tire choices out there
Also what kind of tires do you guys run on? Know there are nittos M/Ts and BFGs, what are you're opinions as far as that goes?

They haven't because daily driving on those wheels is plain out unsafe.

I know plenty who drive on Welds on the street. (myself included) A friend of mine drives on them exclusivly and has put his car on the rear bumper more than once. I don't use them too often on the street anymore as my Prostars have ET Streets now, used to have the ET Street radials.

I had a GN with Pro Stars on it. wasn't exactly a DD but 2000 miles a year on it. No problems. The friend I bought it off of had them on for 10 before me and not a ding. Although it did have 5" on the front. I guess it depends on how bad the roads are around you.

    Sadly now demodded :(

Back in the day I had solid polished Centerlines with 3.5x15 front and 8x15 rear on my 67. I had no problems with bent rims or the like.

I used 195-60 15 (same as an older VW - 165 looks good too) for front tires with 10.50x15 rear. You don't want to attempt any high speed manuevering though.

I've never tried something like that on my LS1 cars. I do know guys who have done that but only for drag racing their car. Seems you've gotta grind a bit on the caliper to make them fit.

i have been in the situation that i had to DD my Z for a week with bogarts RTs and Hoosier bias ply tires on all 4 corners, its not BAD but its not the best either... i DID however DD my car with welds in highschool but it had et radials and widetrac 165's on the front. it was fine but dont try to stop on a dime...

    Yeah I hear ya
Probably not keeping the draglites anyways, probably gonna trade for a set of black c5 wheels or a set of gunmetal z06 speedlines

My car changes shoes more than i do

I daily drove my Nova's for years with 3 inch skinnies on the front. Ran a 165-15 tire on it (same tire used on VW's)

Drove it for years in Ohio through ran and snow etc... never once had an issue. Just can't go flying on the off ramps at 70 mph and expect to make the turn.

I still run skinnies on the front of my chevelle too at the moment, 3 1/2 inch TT2's to be exact with a BBC hanging above the wheels. It drives just fine to me. Again it's not made to be a corner carver though.

I daily drive my 98 ss with nitto drap radials all last summer and had no problems. I even drove when it was wet outside and they still did fine. i mean i obviously was very careful when it was wet but i still had no problems.
