Sebring Silver- 98 Z-28 camaro
wheel selection
I've got a silver 98 Z-28 camaro which desperately needs wheels, I've been looking at these torq thrust II's with the dark grey middle section. What do ya'll think? I like them, was going with a 17X9.5 all the way around.
Post some pics of some sliver cars with different types of rims please, thanksLast edited by 98-LS1; 07-07-2006 at 11:05 AM.

Sebring Silver- 98 Z-28 camaro
doing an auto to M6 swap, I allready done this on my 87 camaro so now I'm going to attempt it with the 98. I done all the work by myself during last winter and got it finished, looks like it came factory with a manual tranny. I used a T-56 out of a LT1 camaro, installed a billet flywheel, centerforce clutch, McCloed slave cylinder assembly, pro 5.0 shifter, spohn crossmember, clutch and brake pedal assembly out of a 96 Z-28, third gen trim... On the 98 I'm going to buy a brand new T-56 with all new parts, actually I have the shifter, clutch, billet flywheel and crossmember for the car allready so all I need really is the tranny and clutch pedal assembly. Bought the console trim piece new from GM and all the hardware one piece at a time.
I would like to buy a M6 SS or WS6 but the wife would have a heart attack, I've got two camaro's now and she bitches about them. My Z-28 runs stronger than any other LS1 car I've owned or driven, it makes craploads of power for a 113,000 camaro. Zero traction from first through second and barks third hard and keeps pulling until I let out, impressive car. we'll see how it goes, the computer is the only thing that worries me.

Yeah I thought about doing a LS1 with T56 swap on one of my third gens but just havent had the money or time to do it. I have never owned an auto LS1 until I bought my '98 Z28, both my prior 4th gens where 6speeds and I am really starting to miss the manual tranny, myself. Well, if you have any pics of your manual tranny setup in your 3rd gen send them my way would like to see it. Good luck on your next project hope it goes as well as the first one!!
