    wheel adapters

ok guys,,, im curious bout this,, i heard bad things about wheel spacers,, but i find out that there are some wheel adapters,, what you guys think bout them?/ is it a good or bad idea,,

im asking because today i saw one ls1 ss with ZR1s chrome,, im sure they were 17x11 with 315s the tires look like 1 inch out side of the fender.. i seen cars with the same tires and rims and the tires doesnt stick out at all... so im guessing he had wheel adapters,, i love the way it looks..

Wheel adapters are usually to put a different bolt pattern rim on a vehicle. The backspacing on the rim is what determines how far out the wheel sits, that and the overall width of the rim.

    Thanks for the info.
I really thought they were made to make the rims stick out a little.
So what can I do to make it look like that?

I have c5 zoo rims right now.

I have put spacers on some of my other DD cars without problems for years. So long as you don't go huge, it doesn't throw off anything meaningful. People usually say you will shorten the life of your wheel bearings though.

Few months ago I was thinking on getting the spacers. But many people said it wasn't a good idea. So I forgot bout that.
But what could be a good size on spacers?
And what are the comun problems with them

I wouldn't recommend spacers for our cars. That being said some common problems I know of off the top of my head are premature wheel bearing/hub failure and if you do alot of high speed driving they can cause your wheels to work loose with obvious consequences. If your still sold on them the biggest I would go is 1/4" and DO NOT stack multiple spacers cause it will expedite all of those issues.

    Thanks for the info bro.
I have heard many complaints as well.
I dnt think is really worth it
I'll just forget bout them. I loved the tires were sticking out but I dnt think I want to mess up something else.
