Red- 2001 Trans Am
what color/style to powdercoat?
Looking to powdercoat my rims since the chrome is flaking off and is somewhat faded. Just not sure what color and style to go with. I know powdercoating gives you a wide variety of options so I was just looking for opinions. I have a red Trans Am with these LG Motorsports World Challenge Rims. They look like this just not as nice.

Red + Black powder coat rim looks great to me. I would suggest doing that. But if you want other color painting is more useful since you have more variety.

Electric Blue Pearlcoat- 1995 Trans Am(LS1 Convert
+1 on the black chrome...everyone throws black wheels on their red cars (Yes I have as well, TA use to be red) BUT tru something that not everyone has...the black chrome looks real smooth...me likes!

Electric Blue Pearlcoat- 1995 Trans Am(LS1 Convert
I am not, per say, a fan of it... but alot guys would even have a red pin stripe around the lip just to accent the car...might be something you want to do...

Black Chrome for sure. If it were me thats the way I would go. Only problem with black chrome (in your case) is that it requires a perfect base coat. If your chrome is jacked up the coater will need to put down a chrome powder base coat and the black chrome top coat. In this case it wont be as shiney as over real chrome and look a little darker, more like a gunmetal color.
