What brake pads leave cleanest wheels?

Ceramic or not? Is there certain brand anyone has found that is good quality without a lot of brake dust?

I put ceramic on my GTP and noticed a reduction of brake dust from factory pads.

the one's you dont use. ceramics are ok cuz they leave a lighter dust but there's always dust, unfortunately.

Duralast ceramics from autozone. Best damn thing I've ever done is switch to them, polished wheels and brake dust dont match. I wash my car about once a week and there is never really any brake dust at least not enough to even notice. I don't know what pad were on my car when I bought it all those years ago but litterly within a day of normal driving I would start to notice brake dust on the wheels, in a week the front wheels were black.

Usually, ceramic pads will leave the lowest amount of brake dust (though with any pad, you will always have at least some brake dust). There is a trade-off to getting pads that leave less dust though: generally, pads that have the most stopping power are louder and leave more dust, whereas pads that leave very little dust and are quieter do not have as much stopping power. Ceramic is a good combo of stopping power, amount of brake dust, and noise level.

if the pads are not dusting they are not doing thier jobs.

ive been thru hawk ebc, raybestos and bendix.

lowest dusting bendix hands down. worst performance under hard braking, bendix hands down.

best stopping power with a reasonable amount of dust is ebc red stuff pads. will never buy another companys pads again.

I'm with JonB. I've got autozone duralast ceramics and they stop the car VERY well and dust lightly. I've got black wheels, so you can also see dust all over the place. I've also got drilled and slotted rotars so i'm not sure how much of that affects my stopping also.

Also, if you go with the duralast pads, you'll get free pads for life as long as you own your car.
