Weight of ZR1's
Does anyone know the weight of ZR1's vs 10 spoke Stock rims?

Velocity Yellow- 2008 Corvette Z06
From the searching I did, it appears the ZR1's are about 22-25 pounds each. 10 spokes appear to be 22-23 pounds.
This was just a quick search I did... not sure how accurate it is.

I have both the 10 spokes and ZR1's on each of our SS's, but I've never broken them down and weighed the wheels unfortunately.
I have found that the aftermarket reproductions of say,,,the ZR1's and the ZO6 wheels for example are much heavier than the OEM wheels.
It also makes a difference if the wheels are painted or chromed. Chrome adds a bit of weight.

Yeah I don't like chrome on a car so the heavier option wont be there for me but it looks like the ZR1's are exactly what im looking for can't wait to find a nice pair

This is just one of those instances where I simply don't relate to the younger generation here.
I lived through the era of big chrome bumper cars, and everything was chrome when cars had character. Which is why I don't get all that excited over new cars produced in the last 20 years. For instance, I pretty much lost interest in corvettes after 72 when the chrome bumpers went away.
Most here were probably born during the monochrome days and just can't relate.

I like chrome or polished aluminum wheels..
I'm just not a big fan of black wheels..
They remind me of ricers that take off thier hub caps and run the factory steels..
Can't see black @ night very well either..imho

next to come,4.10s,ls7 clutch, ms3 or 228r cam, ported 243s, ls6 intake, ls6 oil pump. ls2 timing chain, longtube headers no cats, with a tune..

I'm not saying chrome doesn't look good cause it does, I just prefer not to have a flashy car and like to have silver finished wheels
