    Tires?

So one of the guys from my squadron is going to sell me his rims from his corvette. The tires that are on them don't have a lot of life left in them, so I will need to replace them soon. They are C6 replicas, and he wants three hundred bucks for the rims and tires. I have a 96 TA and Im not sure what size of tires to buy? Also do I need longer studs? Have my fenders rolled? Any help would be appreciated. The Rims are 18X8.5 & 19X10, and they look like this.

Nice rims! Just look on the original tire to find the tire size! Im pretty sure you wont have to do anything, just plug and play.
Heres an ex. what the tire size will say "245'65'R18" something similar like that.

Be sure to post pics when you get them

You might need a spacer for the rear wheels depending on the offset.

    On those wheel sizes I would run 255/35/18 F and 285/35/19 R.

Thats what I was thinking of going with. However I just read on another forum that I need 1.25" wheel spacers for the rears, and longer studs for them to work. I dont mind spending the money, but I dont want to waste it either. What brand of tires does everyone run on fbody cars?

Depending on if this is a daily driver or not a lot of guys swear by nittos.

Yeah Its a daily driver, plus its a pretty much stock LT1, and with big 19's in the back I don't plan on winning any races. Id rather just have an all around good tire. The Nitto 555's look good, and the BF goodrich g force T/A KDW.

I ran the KDW IIs on a set of wheels I had and loved them. I have a set of yokohoma advan sports right not but they are pricey. Unfortunately, tires are not cheap for 19s.
