    Tire and wheel size question

Would a Nitto NT555 in a 245/40/18 fit ok on a 18x9.5 wheel for the front of my 2000 z28?

no. nittos run small so you would be looking at a 235 or 240 ..and that is pushing it for stock 16"s

I would go a little wider with that rim width. I run 245/40/18 BFG KDW NT's and before that Kumho Ecsta ASX's on the front but I'm running a 18x8.5 rim.
    My 18x10 rear I run a 275/35/18

I've got 245s on the front of my car (9" wheels) and they fit fine. Nittos do run smaller but they will fit. Would still go bigger with nittos though.

    narrowest I ran was 255's on a 18" 9.5.
I would like to know the measurements between nitto's and other brands. I measured some 275 nt555's and some continental 275 at the point of tread contact and both looked to be at 10" road contact. Tool used to measure is designed to measure wheel width for tire balancing so not as inaccurate as using a tape measure.

I'm running 285/35/18 Nitto 555R's and Michelin Pilot Sports on my 18x9.5 spyders. No rubbing, and tires looks great!

I just got some Nitto 555R , the extreme drag radials for street. They're on a set of 18x10.5 wheels, the tire size are 305/45/18. They did rub a little with the wheel well and rear bumper but I got it fixed. I do not recomend that yo get 45's they are just too meaty!. But the 305's do fit just fine, with the exception of the bump stop on the rear axle.

Here's the link to see the pics if you are intereested:http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...=134246&page=2

Thanks, im going with 275/35/18 on all 4. Those do look meaty but pretty sweet. I would just get your car a little lower so they are tucked in the wheel well a little better. Clean SS though man. And as for me, i just put on LCA relocation brackets and adjustable LCA last night, so bumper rubbing shouldnt be an issue for me. Now to just find the time to get my new struts/shocks and strano springs on.
