Tire size question
I am not sure that the tire that I picked up will fit under without rubbing. I was running 285/30ZR19's on the rear (Corvette C6 rims) and I wanted a little more rubber as it started to slip in first at about 4500RPM. So I got a set of 305/30ZR19's. As I look at them I am not sure they will clear everything. I already have 1.25" spacers in there to make room for the 285's and I thought that there was plenty of clearance there. I know that there was some beatin and bangin that you could do to help with clearance issues. Where do I need to cut and bang to make sure that the tires wont rub? Thanks guys.

Your gonna be sittin at just under a half inch taller and about .8 inches wider than the previous tires you were using. These are also just over half an inch taller than 315/35/R17 would be. You may run into problems and you may not. Just remember this will throw off your speedometer some.

Doesn't the speedo run off the front? Hence the ability to tell if the rears are sliding causing the TCS to kick in. (if the car has TCS)

No that's for the traction control and the ABS they incorporate both front and back wheels. If I remember right there's another sensor somewhere in the rear that is meant for the speedometer.

I am just worried about it. I think that I will put them on and grind away. I'll post some pics when I get them on.
