Tire size options
I just picked up some z06 wheels and they are 17x9.5 front 18x10.5 rear with 245/45 front tires 275/45 rears. The front tires look really funky since they are practically stretched onto the rim. I have a pair of 275/40 nittos I can swap onto the front. Can I get away with running 45's in rear and 40's in front without effecting ABS?

I would think so, I believe the rule for the aspect ratio is that they need to be within 5 of each other. So like 40 in the front and 45 in the rear should be fine. I have 245/30/20 in the front and 275/35/20 in the rear. Similar to your set up so I would think you should be fine.

Are your rims 18 in back and 17 in front?

It's not the aspect ratio, it's the overall height of the tire. You might have problems. 275/40-17 is about 25.6" tall. 275/45-18 is about 27.75". Did you have problems with the 245/45-17's? They would be the same height as the 275/40-17 if mounted on a 8.5" rim. 9.5 is too wide.

Yep, you want the overall tour height as close to stock. If you're not the speedometer, odometer, and abs will be off especially with diameters that far apart.

I plugged in my predator and calibrated it for the rear tire size. So my speedo shouldn't be affected

You can correct for speedo based on the rear tire height. But the difference in tire height F-R can't be corrected although there is a margin for error built in. Based on the tire sizes you posted, your fronts will spin 792 revs per mile. The taller rears spin 754 revs per mile.

Don't you already have a pair of 275/40-17 Nittos for the front? Just get the 275/35-18s for the rear.

Check tire rack and discount tire, they usually gave good prices
950 is a bit high
And I would go with at least a 295 in the rear for a 10.5" rim

17x9.5 wheels with 245s...that is insane. That's just asking for carnage.
